22 horses and a one week old foal were surrendered to VEA on July 18,2009 from a Middle Tennessee farm. Two of the mares have
foaled and one more is expected to foal any time. Please understand this is an ongoing situation so no further details can be
released at this time. Please consider helping VEA by providing financial assistance for vet bills, feed and hay to rehabilitate these
horses! Veterinary expenses have been astounding. All equine removed from the site have negative coggins tests and have been
released from quarantine. A list of horses with photos will be made available as soon as possible. There are MANY rumors
concerning this situation running rampant on the internet. The authorities with jurisdiction for this situation are doing a very good job
and should be commended for their efforts to improve the lives of these animals.
Donations may be made directly to VEA by mailing a check to: VEA, P O Box 112, Gallatin, TN, 37066 or by clicking on the PayPal button
